Credit Risk Program Manager
Reports to:  Director, Peer Sharing

The Credit Risk Program Manager works closely with senior credit commercial and consumer lending credit risk professionals from diverse functional areas at RMA member institutions to develop peer-sharing programs such as roundtables, forums, conferences, training workshops, and classes.


Responsibilities 

  • Initiate ideas, plan, develop, and facilitate round tables/forums for various credit risk professionals. Work with members to form a steering committee focused on creating the roundtable or forum agenda and preparing all correspondence for prospective attendees.
  • For live events, work with the internal events department to plan logistics, site selection, and dates. Serve as on-site meetings facilitator.  For virtual events; plan logistics including identifying appropriate platform, event date, access requirements, and online facilitation of event.
  • Effectively organize, plan, and coordinate conferences and other events, as scheduled (either live or virtual). Assist in the development of Steering Committee objectives and act as a resource for execution and follow-up. Recruit speakers and assist in planning presentations. Serve as the principal liaison for speakers. Determine if presentations are publishable and make recommendations to the monthly Journal of Lending & Credit Risk Management or other appropriate RMA communication publications or podcasts.
  • Coordinate with Marketing to draft promotional materials for events and identify appropriate distribution channels (i.e. social media, mailing, blog posts).
  • Work collaboratively with other RMA staff, and other partners such as; other associations or professional services, on joint credit risk program opportunities.
  • Identify, research, and recommend new topics for the development of programs (courses, seminars, forums, web seminars, thought leadership, etc.). 
  • Serves as project manager for events where we utilize third-party contractors and instructors performing program work. Assist instructors with feedback and implementing any changes in the program or materials.
  • Tracks all programs and project costs and reports information for budget tracking as required.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field of study with 5 years of relevant work experience in the Financial Services Industry.  Commercial Lending/Commercial Credit experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Organizational skills and proven ability to manage projects from start to finish.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience hosting virtual events such as roundtables, webinars, etc.
  • This is a high-volume event development & facilitation role that will require the ability to quickly learn RMA products and services and understand complex financial concepts.
