The Research business within ProSight, is a data analytics and insights line of business servicing the financial services industry including the largest banks in the U.S. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Insights Analyst to join our data-driven team. As an Insights Analyst, you will play a crucial role in mining insights from our vast datasets, creating new metrics and outputs that are critical for our banks. You will work closely with our data management and analytics, product management, and client engagement teams to analyze, and present data insights that inform decision-making and drive business growth.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis: Assist in conducting data analysis using statistical methods, data visualization tools, and data analysis software. Summarize findings in clear and concise outputs.
- Data Visualization: Create visually appealing and informative charts, graphs, and dashboards to present data insights to stakeholders. Use industry standard BI tools such as PowerPoint, Power BI, or Excel to tell a story with data.
- Metric Generation: Research and identify new key metrics and findings to the team and management.
- Data Collection and Cleaning: Collect and compile data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. Perform data cleaning and transformation as necessary to prepare it for analysis.
- Data Quality Assurance: Help maintain data quality standards by identifying and resolving data discrepancies or inconsistencies. Collaborate with other team members to establish data quality protocols.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights, both proactively and reactively.
- Research and Learning: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis. Continuously expand your knowledge and skills in data analytics techniques and tools.
Requirements
- 1 - 3 years of experience working with complex datasets deriving insights and visual outputs.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical skills and a passion for working with data.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into understandable insights.
- Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a diverse team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools, techniques, and technologies in the field of data analysis.
The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, job-related knowledge and market considerations. This role is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on business results and individual performance.
